Projects
At Studio Ludiek, we focus on three themes: Play as Space, Play as Object, and Play as Research. For us, the combination and overlap of these themes form a unique way of working. By connecting insights from each project and theme, we build new bridges that allow us to create meaningful and positive impact through design.
Our work is rooted in experimentation, curiosity, and a strong belief in the social and spatial impact of design.

With play as a spatial starting point, we design unique environments that unlock new possibilities for play and interaction. Each spatial design process begins with the needs of the space, its context, and the people who use it.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia pedagogy, we believe the environment acts as a child’s third teacher. Through experimentation and hands-on exploration, we create playful spaces that stimulate imagination, learning, and social connection.

Using play as a point of departure, we draw on our knowledge and experience to create playful objects. These objects are designed for a wide audience and can be integrated into different types of spaces, from educational settings to public and cultural environments. They are often created for more commercial purposes.
Rather than serving a single function, our objects invite interaction, curiosity, and open-ended play. They encourage users of all ages to engage, explore, and reinterpret their surroundings.
-
Using play as a research method, we approach play not as an end result, but as a tool for exploration, discovery, and connection.
Play allows us to question existing systems, test new ideas, and create space for dialogue and experimentation.
